Sharon’s Story

We have been residents of Colliers Hill since February of 2020. We researched the area and visited it many times before we finally bought/built it. We retired from our careers back East in 2016 and decided to come here and be with our daughter who moved here about five years ago. This particular daughter moved here when after receiving treatment for cancer, she wanted to move somewhere “beautiful”. In June, our younger daughter also made the move and my family is all living near each other for the first time in over a decade. So (pandemic aside), we were all very happy and looking forward to this new chapter in all our lives….until the fracking. How do I protect my family? If my older daughter is fortunate enough to get pregnant, how do I handle her (and her family’s) health issues being at risk once again? After working for 36 years and now being retired, do I risk my health and give my children the responsibility of taking care of me that no one wants?!
All any of us want is to stay healthy. After this year, haven’t we all learned that that is what matters most?!
Please help us protect ourselves, our families, and our (new) community!
We look forward to working together to really make Erie a great place to raise a family!
