WHEN: Saturday, March 12, 2022 | 11:00AM

WHY: Troy McWhinney – a real estate mogul and entrepreneur – is in the beginning stages of applying for approval for a massive fracking project in the Centerra area of Loveland. The proposal includes two sites with up to 26 wells to be located in close proximity to thousands of homes, the Medical Center of the Rockies, three schools, numerous businesses, and precious community lakes including Boyd, Houts Reservoir, and Equalizer Lake. Residents are feeling betrayed as the community is marketed as “a neighborhood designed to create a healthy environment“ with access to trails, lakes, community gardens and a plethora of wildlife viewing opportunities. The event will highlight Troy McWhinney’s fracking proposal as a betrayal of what this community stands for – embracing and enjoying Centerra’s natural beauty, not fracking it.
