Colorado Rising Partners with Patagonia, River Sisters Congreso, for South Platte River Cleanup

River Sisters CongresoPatagonia Denver and Denver Parks & Recreation joined Colorado Rising at Shoemaker Plaza on October 26th, 2025 for a fall river clean up. Dozens of volunteers took buckets and trash pickers and scoured the banks of the South Platte River for almost a mile surrounding our base camp. They pulled bottles, plastic bags, and other trash out from the river and its banks, for a grand total of 712 pounds of contaminants removed!

We would like to give a huge shout out to every person who showed up for the water today, you should all be so proud of yourselves for being good stewards! And a special shout out to one power couple who removed 100+ lbs!

We extend our gratitude to the River Sisters Congreso and everyone who helped restore the River💧
